Chattogram Customs, Excise and VAT Commissariat collected 10,908.64 crore in VAT revenue in FY 2021-22, a growth of 15.56% from FY previous.

Anurupa Dev, Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Wat Commissionerate, said VAT revenue collection for the financial year 2020-21 was Tk 9,439.87 crore. The Commissioner collected 1,468.77 crores more TK than the previous fiscal year.

“VAT registrations for the 2021-22 financial year increased by approximately 27% compared to the previous financial year. The percentage of online VAT declaration submission was 99.13%,” she said. added.

Mohammad Akbar Hossain, Commissioner of the Chattogram Wat Commissionerate, said, “This is the highest VAT collection in the history of the Chattogram Wat Commissionerate.
